Why Dubsado is the Best CRM for your Business

Best CRM for Photographers

As a wedding photographer, it can be challenging to figure out where to invest your money. I am a huge believer in making do with what you have and haven’t been one to buy every new lens or the latest-and-greatest camera (and I actually advise against it  - I’m sure there will be another blog post about this somewhere along the way but that’s enough of this for now). I feel confident that I have invested wisely in my business while keeping my expenses in check, and one thing that has been a game changer for me is investing in a CRM software.

My decision to invest in Dubsado was easy because it had been recommended to be and Honeybook wasn’t available in Canada yet. My decision was pretty much made for me and I have no regrets, but I know it isn't that easy for everyone. I hope this post can provide some insight to help you make an informed decision and regardless of what system you choose, having a CRM software will be a super helpful tool in organizing your business.

So, let's get into it - here are 4 reasons why Dubsado is the best CRM for your business.

I’m obsessed with organization and efficiency. Before Dubsado, I struggled with sending contracts, invoices, planning guides, and basically everything via email, searching through my files on my computer and really having no method of organization. With Dubsado, everything you need to organize your business is in one place – your calendar, to do list, canned emails, leads, proposals, questionnaires, and more.

A few of the features that I love include that your leads can be captured from your website and automatically inputted into Dubsado and all future communication is organized by the person/job. Proposals allow you to send your packages to clients and move forward with booking straight from the document – clients can choose their package and add ons and set it up so the contract and invoice will generate automatically, all within the proposal so the client isn’t fussing with multiple documents.

There is so so much more you can do than this. I still feel like I haven't used Dubsado to it's full potential yet and am constantly learning!

This ties in with streamlining your processes and was a noticeable change for me. I used to spend so much time responding to inquiries, going back and forth on pricing, and searching through emails to figure out which leads needed follow up. Now, I have canned emails saved in Dubsado so I can respond to clients as quickly as possible, wherever I am, meaning I have an empty inbox and my clients get replies speedy quick. This example is just the tip of the iceberg - there are so many different ways that you can automate your work so that you can spend less time on the admin and more time with your clients.

You want to make it as easy as possible for your clients to book you - and giving them quick access to all of their information, forms, emails etc. most definitely helps make it easier for them. Client portals allow your clients to access all their documents and communications via one link – no more sifting through emails to find documents and info. Contracts can be signed electronically and payment can be made straight from the invoice with connections to Stripe and Paypal. Also, Dubsado is fully customizable to your brand – so everything from emails, invoices, proposals, contracts – you name it – can have your branding on it.  There is nothing like setting yourself up for success like an easy process for your clients.

Dubsado is priced competitively and they also have insane customer service – as in I’ve received a response to emails within hours, even on a weekend. They have a Facebook group full of super helpful Dubsado users willing to share their processes and provide inspiration, which I benefited from greatly when I was getting myself set up. They offer a free trial for your first 3 customers, and I also have a discount code for you for 20% off your first month or year (obviously the year is the better deal) – either use the code “KAYLAPOTTERDUBSADO” or sign up with this link

So with all of that being said, I do have one disclaimer: there is a learning curve to Dubsado. If you think it’s going to do all the document developing for you – it won’t. You still have to make your forms and documents and set everything up and you have to have the creativity to make them uniquely yours. It’s not an easy way out and you need to set aside the time to get set up, however, once you do, you’re set and you'll soon wonder how you ever lived without it!

Well, there you have it! I hope you find his helpful, and I am happy to answer any of your questions!
